Harry Implement was founded in 1935 by Marvin Edmund Harry (better known as M.E.) in Ferney, South Dakota. M.E. bought the local International Harvester dealership in Ferney and began selling IH agriculture equipment and IH trucks. Prior to 1935, M.E. helped his father Ed with the family general mercantile store which had been in business since the early 1900’s. That experience helped M.E. shape the future of Harry Implement.
In 1974 Harry Implement moved into a newly constructed facility across the street from its original location. This is where Harry Implement still resides to this day. In 1994 the service department was expanded to accommodate the growing agriculture industry. In 2012 a 5,000 sq ft. addition was added to the store front to help make room for more showroom space, offices, and parts inventory storage. In 2015 a 17,000 sq ft. service department was added to help with the growing size of today’s agriculture machinery. A lot has changed over the years but a few things still remain constant.
Harry Implement focuses on promoting a family environment. It has been family owned and operated since 1935 and prides itself on continuing this tradition. Today Harry Implement offers a full line of Case IH, Massey Ferguson, and Cub Cadet products as well as many other brands to help keep today’s farmer in the field. From the service work to the machinery we sell, it is our goal to help keep our customer’s satisfied doing what they love!
